Christmas

The joys of getting up in the morning on the 25th to find presents under the tree or simply the joy of being with family. yes, these are very common in this season, but what really is it all about? Mass meaning a celebration. Christ meaning, well, Christ. simply put, a celebration of Christ.

we celebrate because it is through this birth that mercy came into the picture. for without it, we would still be slaves of sin. and as the Word says, "the wages of sin is death." so without this new birth of salvation, we would ALL have been condemned to death right from birth , for "ALL have sinned and come short of His glory" and as we are born into this world, we are born into sin. but because of the birth of salvation, the chain that held us to sin was broken. He took away our iniquities. One that was pure came into this earth, preached the good news throughout His life and finally fulfilled His destiny by taking all our sins;now and forevermore and hanging them on the cross along with Himself. now isn't THAT a good reason to celebrate?
