It's His birthday!  I'm so excited wow. There are so many things to be done. I need to buy the cake, things to make a wonderful birthday dish. Should I throw a party? I haven't talked to Him today, oh my!  Anyway I can always do dat later.  I hear a knock on my door, and there He is! I'm so shocked, He's early, I haven't even freshened up, nothing is ready , I don't even have the cake yet!!  I'm so worried about other things dat I even forget to wish Him happy birthday .  He looked at me with a smile, gave me a bear hug in all my shabbiness and sweat, and gave me a huge parcel, then said to me "have dis gift my dear, I know it will make u happy, u'v been asking for it but it wasn't time yet, u weren't prepared. Take good care of this gift"  I'm still dazed, He smiled at me and left. Oops, I didn't give Him anything in return. I'v been so busy doing the other things dat wld rather please pple than Him.  WHAT DO ...

what if Christ had never come? what if there was no Christmas?

"the cursed fig tree" known all over how Christ came to a fig tree wanting its fruit but found noting but leaves. hence He cursed it. Now, many argue about why He cursed it. He was expecting fruit whereas the tree was not in its season. is that logical in human sense? not really. but think of it this way; what if the fig tree symbolized the life of a Christian? it was lush with leaves; broad, green and healthy. but no fruits. would one not compare such tree to Christians who openly display "works" ; they go from home to home preaching the good news, give their all to the poor and needy and cry out to God. indeed, we call them "good men", but so called "petty things" as unforgiveness,anger,envy, malice and strife blind them from the true love of the Father...leaving them barren and bare. "he is not in his season and there is time for everything." NO! a Christian has been commanded to BE FRUITFUL, MULTIPLY and REPLENISH the wo...

It's a cliché we've all heard...just how true is this? Believe me you when i say this, it is as true as can be. No-one else can ever live your life for you, why then should you live another's? Day in and day out, constantly sizing yourself up, comparing, belittling... Stand tall and be proud to be an individual, raise your head and refuse to be "just a member of the crowd". You are more than that. It's high time you realise it. Doesn't mean remain in your bad habits, simply refuse to live another's life. Everyone has a path to take. Do not be amidst the crowd bustling to walk another's path, rushing to finish another's race, and fighting to win another's battle. A crown is made for each at their own game...do not leave yours to pursue another's(which u aynt gon' get fyi.lol) #Archives_Of_My_Mind

If you pick out an infected pea pod from a pea plant, does it make you uproot and burn the entire plant down? Or if you find a grain of sand in your soup, do u end up throwing out the entire pot? No! If for such minute things, we know better, how much more your fellow human being? My plea to you all, stop stereotyping. Every individual is an INDIVIDUAL. A person you've never met cannot have a category in your neat lil world. You cannot judge a book by its cover. A baby born with AIDs might turn out to be the very person to find the cure for it. Yes, we should be careful of our associations, but that is no excuse to be stereotype. I actually thought our era has long passed that stage. Are we going forward or back? Lets walk towards a better future. Cz this present looks 2 b polluted in more ways than one

"go after your dreams." we hear that often. i don't argue one bit with this. however, there are times we need to sit back and allow ourselves be pursued. not making sense right? lemme elaborate. its not all the time that you constantly have to be pushing for something. yes, you need to work for your goals to come true...sometimes though, you need to sit back and let the goal find you. thing is, sometimes...permit me to say, "most" times, we lose track of our aim simply because we are working so hard to accomplish it. not making sense? ever heard of living and surviving? in living your goal is still in sight. in existing, you are simply getting by day by day...just making sure you survive each day. now back to the original statement, let yourself be pursued. let your vision find you. don't get obsessed with accomplishing something whereas you have even forgotten why you were pursuing and pressing so hard for it. note the use of the word "why...

i recently listened to a preaching by the late Dr Myles Munroe. In it, he spoke about fulfilling one's purpose. now, he came to a part about planning. he depicted the average youth and the lazy character towards planning. also went on to give an illustration of a person earnestly praying to God to be their Guide. to show them the way. he then posed this question, what are you expecting God to direct when you have no plan. go get out you lucky note book, your fave pen and start writing. write by His inspiration. then go before Him and say "here it is Lord. direct my paths." then watch and see.

we all need a break sometime in life. use the break wisely and always remember to come back.

As i lay down and ponder over what i am going through....all i can say is, "Jesus take the wheel". I have tried it my way....came crashing down so hard it felt like i would never rise again. I am tired God. I can't do this on my own. It is not easy to always do right. But it is worth it, and it is the only way i choose. Your way or NO-WAY. All i ask is for strength when i am weak. God please, strength. There are days when the world just decides to swallow me alive. Only You can deliver me. And there are days when i don't even know where to go. Be my Guide. In everything, i have chosen to have You as my Refuge, my Keeper, Fortress, Help, King, Saviour, Comforter, Father, Preserver, Sustainer, You alone are God. I am in total submission to You God. Will it be hard, yes. But worth it to see You seated on the throne and be called to sit by Your right-hand-side. As i arise to face this world, all i ask is please, Jesus, take the wheel.

speak out to be heard

show me your friend and i will tell you who you are. finding it hard to define yourself? simple take a long good look at your friends. how do people make friends? on a practical level, it is quite acceptable to say that one requires like-minded people in order to achieve their goals, visions, etc. so, if your friends are people bearing certain distinct traits and characters, then to some extent, wouldn't one be justified to say "you are the embodiment of your friends' characters" or in other words; show me your friends and i will tell you who you are. assessed your friends? don't like what you see? no cause for alarm. it simply means you need to move on to people who have what you would like to have. refuse to settle. and above all, be willing to change. i have been chanced (strange choice of word) to experience what it is like to walk with the right and "wrong" crowd. let us compare the two experiences. the wrong crowd. there are times yo...

don't really have much to say. just grateful for all i have. it is worth more than i deserve. seriously. but God looked at me, smiled, and said," Esther, I want to and Am going to favour you all your life" where do you start thanking? #overwhelmed

had a very insightful conversation today with a friend and senior. he shared a vision with me. i won't go into the details of the vision as it is personal, but i will share my thoughts as he spoke. he started by saying it might sound crazy. big and unusual is not crazy. then he spoke of the basis of the vision.  that got me thinking, if God grants you a vision, it's not something out of the blue. He will always build a foundation first. a solid foundation will always make for a great work. ask any architect. the foundation of a 2 storey building is nothing to compare to that of a 5 storey building. the thing about visions is that they always seem waaay out of proportion. always makes us feel minute and incapable of accomplishing the act. but the thing is, God sent the vision and it's for a reason. He would not have called you if not that you can handle it, if not that He is there for you. ours is to open our hearts and minds and act in faith. the first step always be...

don't ever allow fear rule your life. at first, it may seem as though it is protecting you from harm, pain, disappointment and hurt, but in the end you come to realize that all it did was to deprive you of golden opportunities that may never come again.
