i recently listened to a preaching by the late Dr Myles Munroe.
In it, he spoke about fulfilling one's purpose. now, he came to a part about planning. he depicted the average youth and the lazy character towards planning. also went on to give an illustration of a person earnestly praying to God to be their Guide. to show them the way. he then posed this question, what are you expecting God to direct when you have no plan.

go get out you lucky note book, your fave pen and start writing. write by His inspiration. then go before Him and say "here it is Lord. direct my paths." then watch and see.
