Perspective

When you look at this picture, you see two totally different things happening. the actual event is that of the man on the right pursuing the man on the left with a sharp object. however, the image the camera man captures depicts the man on the left ready to stab the man on right.

this brings to mind a topic about passing judgement without getting to know the whole truth. my assistant music director spoke of this on what i believe was mu first rehearsal with the worship team. he addressed the issue of judging people simply by what we see. that is, without making any attempt to find put the whole truth.

this also makes me remember the teaching of the late Dr Myles Munroe on one of the youth conferencrsvhe spoke at. that particular conference, he made an example of 'fact and truth' using a seed to explain potential. now he held out a seed in his hand and asked theaudience what he had in his hand. "A seed" they chorused. he told them that was the fact, but not the truth. the truth was that in his hand was a forest. for within the seed was an entire forest that is yet to come forth. they both saw the same thing, but Dr Munroe saw the bigger picture. he saw what was really there, not just (in reference to the picture in this posr) what his TV screen showed him

Perspective is how you see things. its so easy to simply follow a narrow opinion that is common. its harder to dig deep and find out the truth. but trust me, it is soo worth it.

So take that extra step and withhold judgement until the whole truth is uncovered. seems hard, but it is possible.you just need to make up your mind to do it.

stay inspired :)
