A Love Story...Right?


Time and time again 

Chances I've taken 

To Love or Not to Love

But the loneliness is always so loud

It wins


So I gave my heart

For the wrong reasons I chose to love

To the wrong persons I gave my heart

For feeble emotions I chose to love

To the wrong hands I gave my heart

For reasons I can't remember I gave my heart


But,

Were those really love?


One or Two were friends

Some I couldn't stand when emotions faded away


Really,

Intensity is not Intimacy

Intense emotions are not love


I'm learning what love is 

My Love Story is still being written

On editorial work and other stuff

It's been hard.  Literally, my 'me time' is basically me turning off my mobile data so I can relax without guilt. I know, I'm such a bad person. Truth is, it's been quite an experience so far. Leadership is NOT what I thought it would be. It's surprisingly a whole lot of work. Half the time I wanna scream like a baby and call out all my board members one by one. Then common sense sets in of course. What I'm learning so far? This blog post was initially started two (ok, three) years ago (happy new year y'all). I still cannot believe what it's been like since then. One thing I can say for certain though is that God has done a lot in my life through my connections and especially through Christian Medical and Dental Association of Nigeria ( CMDA Nigeria ). I have learned to design, write better, edit work, organize people, work with people without wanting to throw a fit every five seconds, find rest in the midst of profound busyness and basically, t...

showing appreciation

today was incredible. medical students from my college saw their 2nd MBBS result today. something surprised me yet made perfectly good sense. among them were two of my friends. now they have been studying really hard for this. when they saw perfect results, they burst out in tears. some would ask why they are so surprided whereas they had studied so hard. it just takes me to the scripture that ssays "when The Lord turned arround the captivity of Zion, they were like they that dream. inspite of all the persistent prayers made for their freedom, when it finally came it was greater than they thought it would be. let us learn to give God glory for all things. though we expect it, He can-and often does more.
